AMANDA EXPÓSITO

"Photographer and Creative Director, working and living as a nomad. Inspired by the Earth, the nostalgia of life, and the authenticity of identities and cultures."
Photographer and Creative Director.
From the Mediterranean. Currently between Asia and Oceania.
I left my hometown near Barcelona to embrace a nomadic life; a personal decision that has also become an essential part of my creative practice. It allows movement, places, and diverse cultural perspectives to continually shape my gaze and my work.
I graduated in Interior Design, Project Development and Construction Management, in Barcelona. Although this was my first conscious vocation, Photography filled my soul. What began as a way of documenting my travels evolved organically into another way of expressing my sensitivity and creativity: a medium through which I build concepts, tell stories, capture atmospheres and freeze the present moment; translating emotions through photographs.
In one way or another, creating has always been my driving force since childhood — my ikigai. Curiosity, individuality, sensitivity, and a constant need for nourishment have grown alongside me. Being enriched by new perspectives and experiences defines both my work and the way I live.
MY VISION
Inspired by the Earth, and the contrasts within nature. By the human experience, the passage of time, and memory. By cinema and past eras. By identities and cultures, especially oriental cultures. By the traditional and the artisanal. By raw materials and imperfect textures. By what is experimental, conceptual, and revealing.
My photographic language is documentary, narrative, and nostalgic, defined by carefully curated compositions, warm natural light, and a color palette rooted in the tones of the Earth — particularly greens and browns — evoking intimacy, presence, and a sense of timelessness.
As a keen observer, much of my work emerges from what often goes unnoticed: gestures, textures fleeting moments, and quiet actions. Above all, my practice is rooted in observing life from multiple perspectives and translating those experiences into emotional and deeply human visual narratives.
